Emergency Locksmith

How quickly can you reach me in an emergency?

We aim to reach you within 30 minutes. Once you call, we dispatch the nearest available locksmith straight away. Response times can vary depending on your location and traffic conditions.

Do you operate 24 hours a day?

Yes. We operate 24/7, 365 days a year, including Christmas, bank holidays, and weekends. Lockouts and emergencies don't keep office hours, and neither do we.

Will you damage my door to get me back in?

We always attempt non-destructive entry first. The vast majority of lockouts can be resolved without any damage to the door or lock. We only use destructive methods as a last resort, and always with your agreement.

What if I've lost my only key?

We can open the door, then change or rekey the lock so you have new working keys. We carry a wide range of lock stock on our vans so this can usually be done in a single visit.

Pricing

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No hidden call-out fees. We give you a fixed total price before we start work. What we quote is what you pay. No surprises.

How much does an emergency lockout cost?

Prices vary depending on the time of day, lock type, and complexity of entry. Call us and we'll give you an honest quote before committing to anything.

Is night-time work more expensive?

Out-of-hours callouts do carry a small premium, as with most trade services. We'll always be upfront about the price before we start. There are no hidden charges.

UPVC & Door Repairs

My UPVC door won't lock properly — can you fix it?

Yes. This is one of the most common jobs we carry out. A door that won't lock is usually caused by a worn multipoint locking mechanism, dropped hinges, or a misaligned door. We diagnose and repair in a single visit in most cases.

Is it worth repairing a UPVC door rather than replacing it?

Almost always. UPVC doors are very durable. Most faults are caused by worn components, not the door itself. Repairs typically cost a fraction of full replacement.

Do you work on wooden and composite doors too?

Yes. We repair all types: UPVC, wooden, composite, and aluminium. If it opens and closes, we can fix it.

Glass Replacement

Can you board up a broken window in an emergency?

Yes. We provide 24/7 emergency boarding to secure your property immediately. We then arrange for the glass to be replaced as quickly as possible.

My double glazing has gone misty — can you fix it?

Yes. Misting means the sealed unit has failed. We replace just the glass unit, usually without touching the frame, at a fraction of full window replacement cost.

What types of glass can you replace?

Single-pane, double-glazed sealed units, obscure glass, toughened/safety glass, laminated glass, and patio door glass. We advise on the correct specification to meet building regulations.

Lock Changes

I've just moved in — should I change the locks?

Yes, always. You have no way of knowing how many people have keys to your new home. A lock change when moving in is a small cost for significant peace of mind.

What is an anti-snap lock and do I need one?

Anti-snap euro cylinders are designed to resist the most common forced entry technique: snapping the cylinder. Most insurance companies now require them. We recommend fitting them to all UPVC doors.

How long does a lock change take?

A standard euro cylinder replacement takes 20 to 30 minutes. Multipoint systems or full lock changes may take longer. We'll give you an accurate time estimate when you call.

After a Burglary

Do you respond to burglary callouts at night?

Yes. We treat burglary callouts as emergencies regardless of the time. We'll secure your property immediately so you're not left vulnerable overnight.

Can you provide documentation for my insurance claim?

Yes. We provide a detailed written report of all damage and repairs carried out, accepted by all major UK insurers.

What should I do immediately after a burglary?

Call the police first and get a crime reference number. Then call us to secure your property. Don't touch or move anything until police have attended.
